Governor Jose Enrique M. Miraflores leads the launching of the Aklan Online Payment System (Aklan OPS) thru a Press Conference last Sept. 14, 2022 at the Conference Hall, Provincial Governor’s Office, Capitol Site, Kalibo, Aklan.

Daya ro committment it Probinsya nga mapadali du mga transakyon iya sa kapitolyo ag mapadali ro pagtao it serbisyo sa atong mga pumueoyo.. Maabu eon kitang plano kamana it Unified Ticketing System sa pagsueod sa Boracay, may online payment sa Terminal Fee ag Environmental Fee ag special/fast lane sa atong Caticlan Jetty Port… Hopefully ma-introduce eon naton dun this year,” Governor Miraflores.

Aklan OPS aims to ease the payment procedures for the services provided by the Provincial Government of Aklan thru the Provincial Treasurer’s Office, the Aklan Provincial ICT Office and the Bids and Awards Committee (BAC).

“For the past 2 years there were a lot of requests from our clients, even OFWs asking for alternative payment options, such as an online payment system. So there is really a need… This Aklan OPS is our answer to that need.” said Mr. Bello

With the Aklan OPS processing and even payments are done online, eliminating the need for any additional manual transaction. But, should clients still prefer face to face or manual transactions, it is still available.

Payments for Real Property Tax, availment of Services such as Map Production and Processing, Payment of Professional Tax, Tax on Delivery Trucks and Vans, Tax on Printing & Publication, Amusement Tax, Franchise Tax and acquisition of Bidding Documents can be accessed thru the official website of the Province of Aklan (https://aklan.gov.ph/) then choose Online Payment.

Present in the launching are Gov. Jose Enrique M. Miraflores, Mr. Bernardino R. Villaruel, Provincial Treasurer and Mr. Jericson C. Bello, Department Head of the Aklan Provincial ICT Office, the developer of the said system, and Atty. Selwyn Ibarreta, Provincial Administrator. /KPA
